In the last twenty years, the institute has emerged as a "model institute" and a "centre of excellence".

The institute has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education for diploma courses in Engineering. Government of Maharashtra took due note of the excellent facilities of the institute and rated it as 'A' grade institute.

1. MANAGING COUNCIL

The Management of the institute rests with the Managing Council constituted in accordance with the structure recommended by the Regional Committee of All India Council of Technical Education and the Government of Maharashtra.

2. LOCATION

The institute is located in the eastern part of L&T, Powai Works, in Mumbai. It is built on a raised ground commanding a very pleasant and panoramic view of the western suburbs and Aarey Milk Colony. Its calm and serene environment makes it an excellent setting for education and training. The institute can be approached from Gate No.5 of Powai Works.

3. ACCREDITATION

The Diploma Courses run by the institute are recognised by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.The curriculum is approved by the Board and it is revised periodically to take into account the modern technological advancements in industry. The Board conducts examinations and awards Diplomas to the successful students of the institute.

4.COURSES OFFERED

The Institute presently offers Four year Diploma Courses (Industry Integrated) as under :

Diploma in Computer Engineering : 40 seats

Diploma in Electronics Engineering : 40 seats

Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering : 40 seats

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering : 40 seats

5.EXAMINATION SYSTEM

All examinations are conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education according to the examination rules in force from time to time. In order to ensure sustained effort and regularity throughout the semester, the Board gives due weightage to continuous assessment of term work and class tests.

6.PHYSICAL FACILITIES

The Institute has its own building with over 5000 sq. mts. built up area. It accommodates a complete mechanical workshop, drawing hall, audio-visual theatre, library, administrative wing, well-equipped laboratories, classrooms and also a playground.
